- Technology must be solving a critical problem
- Patent must be filed/granted
- Technology must be validated [TRL 5 and above]
- Prototype should be available
- Technology should have potential for investment
- Inventor should be willing to share know-how, and provide assistance in further development
- Technology must be capable of being scaled up
