Technical Description

This invention describes a light pipe designed to bring daylight through building roofs without transmitting heat. The interior surfaces cause multiple reflections where infrared radiations are absorbed significantly, with outer pipe and inner shade blocking direct sunlight while fitting within typical 120 mm concrete roof slab thickness.

Problems Addressed

  • Inefficient Heat Control
  • Lacks Compact Roof Integration
  • Inefficient Glare Management
  • Lacks Leak-Safe Installation
  • Inefficient Shallow-Pipe Designs

Tech Features

  • Efficient IR Attenuation
  • Enhanced Multi Reflection Paths
  • Compact Slab Embedded Build
  • Improved Direct Sun Blocking
  • Efficient Double Glazed Insulation
  • Easy Serviceability/Replacement

Target Audience

  • Building Contractors and Developers
  • Architects and Designers
