Technical Description
This invention describes a method treating Outer Loop Link Adaptation (OLLA) as Multi-Armed Bandit (MAB) problem for accurate MCS selection in LTE eNBs.It dynamically adjusts CQI offsets via bandit arms to achieve target BLER despite erroneous feedback, improving wireless throughput.
Problems Addressed
- Erroneous CQI Feedback
- Biased SINR Estimation
- Inaccurate MCS Mapping
- Static Offset Limitations
- Outdated Rate Metrics
- Variable BLER Targets
Tech Features
- MCS Arms Association
- Offset Binary Search
- BLER Target Adjustment
- Dynamic Arm Selection
- MAB Optimization Loop
- UE-Specific Adaptation
Target Audience
- Telecom Equipment Makers
- Wireless Network Operators
