Technical Description
This invention describes a solvent-based electro-spraying method to deposit thin transparent graphene oxide (GO) layers onto polymeric or metal substrates in a single step. The GO coating creates bioactive, biocompatible surfaces that reduce platelet adhesion causing thrombus formation and bacterial adhesion leading to implant infections.
Problems Addressed
- Inefficient Blood Compatibility
- Lacks Bacterial Anti-Adhesion
- Inefficient Multi-Step Coating
