Technical Description
The invention proposes an Enhanced Semi Persistent Scheduling (eSPS) method for 5G/NR downlink that supports quasi periodic XR traffic with high data rate, low latency, and variable packet sizes. It introduces flexible eSPS assignments, bitmap based multi slot PDSCH mapping, and dynamic parameter updates to better meet XR packet delay budgets and jitter characteristics.
Problems Addressed
- Fixed SPS Periodicity
- No Link Adaptation
- Single PDSCH Limitation
- High Control Overhead
- Jitter Sensitive XR
- Variable Packet Size
