Neutral-pH Synthesis of Bioactive Silver-Protein Clusters

Technical Description

The invention is a mild, bio-friendly method for synthesizing red luminescent, protein-protected silver nanoclusters using preformed phosphine-protected clusters as a precursor. Operating at a neutral pH without harsh reducing chemicals, the synthesis systematically internalizes noble metal cores into protein templates while fully preserving their structural integrity and native bioactivity.

Problems Addressed

  • Low cell viability
  • loss of their inherent bioactivity
  • Unstable Silver Nanocluster Scarcity
  • High-pH Strong Reductant Dependence
  • Irreversible Protein Denaturation
  • Rapid Nanodecomposition & Precipitation

Tech Features

  • Preformed Silver TPP Cluster Precursor (pH 7.1)
  • High Retention of Ag18 @BSA Bioactivity (89%)
  • Biocompatible Cytosolic Internalization
  • Slow Nucleation Mechanism
  • High-Quantum-Yield Red Photoluminescence (25.1)

Target Audience

  • Pharmaceutical & Biotechnology Industries
