Hybrid Preclinical Imaging System

Technical Description

The invention is a low-cost, hybrid multi-modal imaging system incorporating an optically coupled detector for preclinical research which consists of nearly five imaging techniques such as radiography, computed tomography, fluoroscopy, X-ray excited optical luminescence (XEOL), fluorescence using single system. A high-frame-rate CMOS camera captures light deflected by a mirror from a movable scintillator or automated optical filter array to execute five distinct imaging modalities within a single system.
