Technical Description

The invention provides an electric double-layer capacitor (EDLC) to maintain stable energy storage and high power from sub-zero to elevated temperatures using a binary aqueous electrolyte of potassium hydroxide and potassium acetate mixed in precise stoichiometric proportions to prevent freezing and lower internal resistance.
