Technical Description

The invention introduces a signal processing method which measures the Brillouin frequency shift (BFS) in distributed fiber optic temperature and strain sensors by applying Cross Recurrence Plot Analysis (CRPA) to maintain precision across long distances despite high attenuation and noise.
