Genetic Target Identification On Cellulose Matrix

Technical Description

The invention provides low-cost, point-of-care nucleic acid diagnostics on paper substrates. It uses isothermal LAMP and a non-cellulose binding fluorescent dye. Amplified viral or bacterial targets form distinct fluorescent rings. Results are instantly quantified via smartphone app or a portable LED illuminator filter.
