Technical Description
The invention provides an efficient, chlorine-free organometallic synthesis method to produce monomeric tetrahydrofuran (THF) coordinated Group 13 metal alkoxide adducts. Acting as single-site structural catalysts under mild energy conditions, these stable complexes drive rapid ring-opening polymerization (ROP) of cyclic esters to yield high-molecular-weight, packaging-grade polylactic acid (PLA).
