Nano Interconnects

Technical Description

A nano interconnect technology based on zigzag stanene nanoribbons used for nano-electrode devices. The interconnects are passivated with hydrogen and fluorine at nanoscale dimensions.

Problems Addressed

  • Challenged Scaling
  • Limitations of Conventional Contacts
  • Unreliable Metal (Al/Cu) Interconnects
  • Less Stable

Tech Features

  • Zigzag Stanene Nanoribbons
  • Interconnect through Modified Edges Metal
  • Hydrogen & Fluorine Passivation
  • Thermodynamic Stability
  • Edge Sn Atoms Contribution to Metallicity
  • Fermi Velocity Achievement of ~9.88 × 104 m/s
  • Edge Chemical Functionalization
  • Linear Current-Voltage Behavior
