Technical Description

This invention uses N‑methyl‑2‑pyrrolidinone 5‑hydroperoxide (NMPOOH) with a base as a highly efficient, benign epoxidation reagent, especially for electron‑deficient olefins. It offers high yields, strong stereo/chemoselectivity, and broader substrate scope than many existing peroxide systems.

Problems Addressed

  • Limited Epoxidation Selectivity
  • Poor Diastereocontrol
  • Explosive Peroxides
  • Low Reagent Stability
  • Complex Synthesis Routes
  • Heteroatom Over‑oxidation

Tech Features

  • NMPOOH/Base System
  • Electron‑Poor Olefins
  • High Dia Stereo Selectivity
  • Strong Chemo Selectivity
  • Mild, Benign Conditions
  • Broad Substrate Scope

Target Audience

  • Agrochemical Manufacturers
  • Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
  • Fine Chemicals Sector
  • Contract Development Manufacturing
  • Chiral Intermediates Industry
  • Research & Development
