Technical Description
The invention is an eco-friendly, direct melt-condensation process that synthesizes high-molecular-weight polylactic acid (PLA) using a moisture-pretreated, recyclable solid acid catalyst. Operating under an inert atmosphere without reaction solvents, this economical method eliminates hazardous mineral acids and isolates the catalyst for complete reusability.
