Technical Description
The technology discloses a predictive control framework for two-stage EV fast chargers with a three-phase AC-DC front end and DC-DC buck stage. It combines Lagrange extrapolation, modified-Euler prediction and an efficiency-based DC-link reference to reduce switching and battery ripple. A laboratory prototype reported an efficiency increase from approximately 90% to 93%.
